STX  splineTEX® TEST SPACE
Mainimage

The splineTEX®TEST SPACE is an object taking the form of a pavilion, meant to test innovative solutions utilizing splinetex technology.

>> superTEXcomposites GmbH

The basic structure of the test space mirrors that of the splineTEX®structure, a self-supporting free-form structure with SuperTEX carbon elements. Within the test space, a series of experiments can be conducted to generate and record data and parameters to evaluate the results. The splineTEX®TEST SPACE was designed by LAAC Architects, using script-based parametric modeling techniques. The superTEXcomposites GmbH was then able to produce the test space without work plan, generating the final construction directly from the original digital file. Similar to constructions generated using conventional technologies, the test space utilizes a variety of different components, but in this case they are planed, generated and laid out entirely from the digital model.

The test space provides a framework for the application and analysis of different types of coverings, such as the installation of a splineTEX®GREEN WALL or a lighting system, and tests their material properties such as temperature changes, color variation, change in shape and weight.
